Scout Updates

More than 50 scouts were added to Madden 23. which doubles the number of scouts who are free agents by 50 to 100. and adding the total number Scouts to 250. Additionally, we've made sure that every position has at minimum one scout in each tier that has that particular knowledge. With some exceptions, each position grouping is supported by multiple scouts at every stage.

Scouts of teams have been updated. Each scout in an individual team now has a reflection of the team's needs, with the higher tier scouts reflecting the bigger needs. When we played Madden 22. Focus Scouting was limited to specific positions and the amount of information you would receive about a draft class did not suffice to make informed choices. This year, we've put similar positions, so that when you're Focus Scouting you'll have data on all the players in the grouping, not just one.

Attribute Reveal Improvements

One of the largest elements of feedback that we received when we updated our scouting report last year was about the disclosure of information for college prospects. It was entirely random, and could leave you guessing at the top attributes you'd like to see the most for a certain prospect. Based on that feedback that we've made numerous improvements to these reveals to help you get the information you're looking for faster as well being able to keep you in the dark about prospects with a little mysteriousness.

We've increased the importance of reveals in favor of essential attributes, making it better to be a core attribute than Madden 22 to identify an attribute as a key attribute rather than an extra attribute. When you've reached 50% of scouting a prospect, any remaining unidentified attributes will change from a question mark to a three-letter range. When you continue to accumulate additional information about the prospect when you get to 70% scouted, any remaining three-letter ranges will change to an a 2-letter range.
