Reports Now Say The White Sox Aren’t Trying To Sign Another Outfielder
White Sox fans spent a lot of time arguing over the possible fit of Yasiel Puig on the South Side in 2020 and turns out that it might have all been a waste of time.
On Thursday night MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand tweeted out that the White Sox were still interested in signing another right fielder despite already having Nomar Mazara. Since the start of the offseason the White Sox had been linked to Nick Castellanos, but Feinsand said Puig was the new hot target for Rick Hahn.
However, 670 The Score’s Bruce Levine shot down that report three hours later.
And Bob Nightengale backed up Levine’s report on Friday.
Yes, we make fun of Bruce and Bob (especially Bob) all the time, but if the White Sox want a message out these are the guys they’re going to use to spread it to the fans.
So, you can still pencil in Mazara as the main right fielder in 2020.
