How to watch College Football: SMU vs. Oklahoma, time, TV channel, live stream
The SMU Mustangs (1-0) face off against the No. 17 Oklahoma Sooners (1-0) at Memorial Stadium in Norman, Oklahoma on Saturday.
SMU opened their 2023 campaign with a 38-14 win over Louisiana Tech, Running back L.J. Johnson Jr. stole the show, rushing for 128 yards and a touchdown on just 14 carries. If SMU wants to challenge Oklahoma, they’ll likely lean on Johnson to control the clock and keep the Sooners’ explosive offense off the field.
The Sooners, on the other hand, began their season by annihilating Arkansas State with a staggering 73-0 victory. Quarterback Dillon Gabriel was near-perfect, completing 19-of-22 passes for 308 yards and two touchdowns. In total, Oklahoma racked up an impressive 642 yards of total offense. Given this performance, the Sooners’ offense appears to be in mid-season form already, which should concern any defense tasked with stopping them.
