However, even with that said, this wasn't even 2K's concept, it was J. Cole's. "Three and a half years ago, in the past, when he was dunking at one of the break times of The All-Star Weekend Saturday Night, J. Cole said 'Ronnie I'd love to join on MyCareer and help you to think about the possibility of that."
Ronnie 2K tells Complex. "I worked with our team to bring this idea to life but it was very right to work with. When we announced the teaser, everyone believed it would just be another NBA player...it allows us to be a part of the world of fashion, culture and music where 2K is sitting at the table right now."
NBA 2K has evolved from being a mere hyped game within the world of gaming. It's now a defining moment in the world of culture and the intersection of music, pop culture clothing, sneakers, and of course, basketball has taken the game to levels that cannot be matched by other games.
