Diners flee restaurant after fireball engulfs table
A table burst into flames in front of stunned diners at a restaurant in China last week.
The CCTV clip, shot in Zhongshan City in southern Guangdong Province on May 1, shows a fireball suddenly appearing from underneath a table while a group of diners are sat around it.
Shocked customers can be seen running out of the restaurant immediately.
One person exiting the restaurant can be seen cradling a baby.
An elderly woman also exits.
Waiters arrive at the table and use extinguishers to try to put out the flames.
Since the pipe connecting the gas cylinder to a hot pot was loose, gas leaked out, causing the fire.
Further footage shows the empty restaurant full of smoke.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
