Demolition experts imploded three cooling towers in Drakesboro, Kentucky on Nov. 10. The coal plant and cooling towers served the area for 59 years. All three towers were retired in 2020 which led to the blast that imploded all three towers. The three towers stood 435-feet tall and were the largest cooling towers when built. The Paradise Coal Plant is currently being redeveloped.
