Terrified Amazon Prime viewers left ‘losing their s***’ over ‘unnerving’ horror When The Lights Went Out

TERRIFIED Amazon Prime viewers were left “losing their s***” over the “unnerving” horror, When The Lights Went Out.

The 2012 supernatural hair-raiser sees violent poltergeists attack a family in Yorkshire during the nationwide blackouts in 1974.

Based on a true story, the chilling events have been well-documented in research group studies, books and newspaper reports.

The British film stars Line of Duty’s Martin Compston as well as Craig Parkinson, Kate Ashfield, Tasha Connor, Steven Waddington, and Jo Hartley – and is directed by Pat Holden.

Taking to Twitter after daring to watch the movie, one fan wrote: “Completely losing my s**t of how terrifying the concept was (Horror doesn’t make such movies anymore). I was so happy when I heard they were making a movie with the same Director. He needs to return to horror asap.”

Another added: “If you’ve got Prime and are into horror films, I recommend When the Lights went Out.”

But someone else said: “Unnerving more than spooky, I would say. Not to say it doesn’t have it’s scary moments.”

Amazon Prime viewers were recently left unable to sleep after watching Malignant, which came with a ‘ludicrous’ twist.

From the creator of horrors such as Saw, Insidious and The Conjuring, Malignant has been described as “unhinged” by fans watching from behind their hands.

Annabelle Wallis stars as Madison Mitchell who is tormented by harrowing visions of blood-thirsty murders.

As the film goes on, she soon discovers that these waking dreams are in fact terrifying realities.

The movie came out in 2021 but has been doing the rounds on Amazon Prime had provoking reaction with viewers.
