Celebrity Big Brother star ‘unable to walk’ and ‘shaking uncontrollably’ as family give health update from hospital
CELEBRITY Big Brother star Lauren Harries’ family have revealed that the star has woken from her induced coma – but said she is “unable to walk” and is experiencing “painful seizures”.
The reality TV star underwent the emergency procedure in April after being taken into hospital with a mystery condition.

They wrote: “Lauren was woken after her induced coma, she still has painful seizures which cause her whole body to shake uncontrollably.
“She is unable to walk and her feet are in pain.
“The only thing keeping her going at the moment is you, her fans and her painting.
“Doctors are still unable to diagnose what’s causing any of this, they are testing different medications to help.
“Thank you all for keeping her in your thoughts. She loves you all.”
Just last week, Lauren’s family revealed that the star had been put into an induced coma after having major brain surgery.
Last month Lauren had her bandages removed.

The Big Brother star’s mum Katy has been updating fans on Lauren’s progress on Twitter and shared a photo of them together on her ward.

Lauren, 45, has had a challenging recovery ever since ending up in ICU.
Her mum revealed she had suffered from blackouts and a drooping face following the emergency procedure.
She caught Covid as well as two infections, which caused her to suffer breathing problems.
Katy has been sharing pictures of Lauren with fans – urging them to “pray” for her.
The reality star had to face her “worst nightmare” when her head was shaved for surgery.
Her friends and fans flooded the comments section in support, calling her a “fighter” and wishing her to “get better soon”.
Lauren is best known for appearances as a child on TV shows including Wogan and After Dark.
The reality veteran was a Big Brother’s Bit On The Side regular for three years before entering the house herself for Celebrity Big Brother in 2013.
Her last TV gig saw her take part in Channel 4 show Naked Attraction in 2019.
The star was born in Surrey in 1978 and is the youngest of three children.
Lauren began making TV appearances in 1988 on Terry Wogan’s UK chat show, Wogan, when she was just 10-years-old.
As Lauren grew up, she believed she was gay, but by her early 20s she identified as transgender.
She started cross dressing in 1997 and in 2001, at the age of 23 underwent gender reassignment surgery.
