The Nation's Weather for Monday, June 26, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
An expansive zone of the eastern United States will be at
risk for severe thunderstorms tomorrow as an advancing
storm plows toward the East Coast. Damaging wind gusts,
hail and tornadoes will be possible from southern Alabama
through the mid-Atlantic and into southwestern New England,
perhaps also reaching far eastern Ohio. Elsewhere,
thunderstorms will develop in the eastern Great Lakes as a
storm progresses eastward, with showers on the back side of
that storm in the Midwest. Thunderstorms will spread from
Idaho and Oregon across northeastern California, Nevada and
parts of the Intermountain West in the afternoon. The
central and southern Plains should remain largely dry
during the day, with another very hot day for much of
Texas. The Four Corners area will also be dry.
