Cases of brucellosis detected in Gegharkunik

Brucellosis cases have been identified in the village of Chkalovka in the Gegharkunik region following examination of cattle and small ruminants, as reported by the press service of the Food Safety Inspectorate, citing the results of examination at the State Non- Commercial Organization "Republican Veterinary, Sanitary and Phytosanitary Laboratory Services Center."


According to the source, sick animals were subjected to forced slaughter under the supervision of inspectors, followed by disinfection procedures.  Blood samplings are being taken from cattle and small ruminants  in all communities across the Republic.
