Lawyer: Armenia`s Prosecutor`s Office and Investigative Committee  refuse to answer whether Samvel Karapetyan is allowed to make video  addresses  while under house arrest

ArmInfo.The Prosecutor's Office and the Investigative Committee of Armenia are avoiding the question of whether Samvel Karapetyan, the leader of the "Strong Armenia" party and a well-known businessman, is allowed to record video addresses while under house arrest.

As lawyer Aram Vardevanyan pointed out on his Facebook page, it is these agencies that should address such inquiries. "If you've received an incomplete 'letter' from the probation service, simply ignore it. The investigative and prosecutorial authorities are the ones responsible for assessing such matters and the legal consequences. However, the prosecutor's office hasn't yet responded to this simple and straightforward question, and the Investigative Authority has once again refused to reply to a new request, stating that it cannot answer this question, which essentially requires a clear 'yes' or 'no' answer," Vardevanyan emphasized.

Given the above, Vardevanyan demanded that either the political persecution of Karapetyan be stopped, the illegal preventive measure be rescinded, or that the prosecutor's office and the Investigative Authority be compelled to provide a clear answer to this simple question.
