Aram Manukyan: We will make Bacu to sign peace program

ArmInfo.Aram Manukyan, a candidate from the pre-electoral bloc "Congress-People's Party", appealed to the OSCE Minsk Group mediators, saying that there are many supporters of the peace program in Armenia, which was previously voiced by the leader of this bloc and the first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan.

In particular, speaking after the completion of the peace-procession organized by this bloc, Manukyan stated that the number of participants in the action, which in his opinion exceeded several thousand, demonstrates the readiness of the Armenian society to accept the peace program. "We have a strong team and we will be able to force the authorities to accept reconciliation," he said.

At the same time Manukyan added that the bloc starts the peace movement, which it intends to spread in Azerbaijan as well. "We will make Bacu to sign peace program", he stated.

To recall, the bloc "Congress-People's Party" is the only one among the forces participating in the electoral campaign, which stands for the settlement of the Karabakh conflict through territorial concessions. Moreover, the leader of the bloc and the first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan assures that now the Armenian and Azerbaijani authorities are negotiating precisely this. He also predicts an early resolution of the Karabakh conflict, which, in his opinion, hampers the development of Armenia and Artsakh. Ter-Petrosyan also expressed readiness to assist all political forces that implement the peace program, including the ruling Republican Party of Armenia.
