PACE Bureau failed initiative to create a new Turkish-Azerbaijani political group
ArmInfo. Today, at the meeting of the Bureau of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the initiative to create a new Turkish-Azerbaijani group called "Free
Democrats" failed. This was reported by Strasbourg Vice-Speaker of
the National Assembly of Armenia, Head of the Armenian delegation to
PACE Arpine Hovhannisyan.
According to her, today in PACE, one of the Italian delegates
proposed the creation of a new political group called "Free
Democrats", which included the overwhelming majority of Turks,
Azerbaijanis and a deputy from Bosnia and Herzegovina Melisa
Markovic, who previously prepared in PACE a pro- Azerbaijani report

the Bureau voted against the initiative and only 4 were "for".
