Azerbaijan continues destroying Armenian churches in Nagorno-Karabakh - Jean Christophe Buisson
ArmInfo. Jean Christophe Buisson, Deputy Director of Le Figaro, posted the following posts on
his X account.
"1 satellite image shows, for example, the Saint John the Baptist
church in Shoushi more than damaged. However, the Azeris deny
damaging or destroying Armenian heritage in Artsakh-Nagorno-Karabakh.
Without letting foreign observers come and see what is going on...
"After removing its 150,000 Armenian inhabitants, the Azeris are
attacking the Armenian heritage of Artsakh-Nagorno-Karabakh. For
several days, disturbing videos of destruction or vandalization of
churches have been circulating, particularly in the Shoushi region,"
he wrote.
The day before, photo evidence appeared on social networks that
Azerbaijan demolished the Armenian Church of St. John the Baptist
(Kanach Zham, built in 1818) in Shushi. According to satellite
images, the church was destroyed in February 2024. All this is
happening against the backdrop of the tacit encouragement of the
so-called international community.
