Bagrat Srbazan in Noyemberyan: our fight today is against lies
ArmInfo. We need to act as an army, united, without succumbing to provocations. Primate of the
Tavoush Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, His Holiness (Srbazan) Bagrat Galstyan, stated in Noyemberyan addressing the citizens who closed the Noyemberyan-Ijevan road.
" If at least 4-5 people act emotionally during this protest, we will
not succeed. This fight is against lies. This is a fight between
truth and lies. We became part of this lie, because when our brothers
and sister in Artsakh faced an existential threat, we pretended that
it did not concern us! But now the one who consistently spreads this
lie and drives us into this lie must leave," said Bagrat Srbazan .
In the meantime, the police gave the protesters 5 minutes to open the
road, threatening to disperse them. To which Bagrat Shrabzan
suggested the police to go to Voskepar and tell the same to
Azerbaijanis. "Go to Voskepar, where you guard the Azerbaijanis, to
carry out the demining and say all this there. It's not for you to
tell us what to do and where," Srbazan was indignant.
He suggested the citizens to gather in the courtyard of St. Sargis
Church, form a council of 4-5 people and decide what to do next.
Due to the difficult situation in Tavush, the Noyemberyan
administration also made a statement, in which it spoke out against
border delimitation in its current form, considering this process a
unilateral concession to Azerbaijan
"The delimitation work contains extremely dangerous risks for the
border security of Armenia, making important sections of the border
extremely vulnerable. We support the establishment of peace, but not
through unilateral concessions, especially considering that the
Azerbaijani Armed Forces continue to occupy many sections of Armenian
territory, including in Tavush," the statement reads, adding that the
head of the Noyemberyan community, the community leadership,
including village elders, do not support the delimitation process and
do not participate in it.
Today, reserve army colonel Mihran Maksudyan said that the deputy
prime minister and the village elders did not reach a general
agreement at yesterday's meeting. "As it was decided, so it will be,
the authorities said. That is, several houses and graves in the
village of Kirants become the territory of Azerbaijan," Maksudyan
noted.
