Armenia`s government making unilateral concessions in Azerbaijan`s favor - Tavush for the Motherland movement
ArmInfo. The current illegal government of Armenia, spreading false theses about demarcation, sovereignty and peace, is making territorial unconstitutional and unilateral concessions in favor of Azerbaijan, whose creeping ambitions will soon manifest themselves clearly in Syunik, Ararat, Gegharkunik, reads a statement of the Tavush for the Motherland movement.
The statement recalls that on April 29, in the building of the Armenian government, Nikol Pashinyan met with residents of the village of Kirants.
"The meeting was held in a disappointing atmosphere, and not only did not dispel the concerns of the residents, but moreover, the questions that concern the residents of Kirants remained unanswered, which once again proves that the current RA government does not have a clear and alternative political strategy to ensure the safety of its citizens, protecting their lives, property and property.
At the same time, the government stated that it could not guarantee the safety of the residents of the "Armenian part" of the demarcated territory.
Thus, the authorities have exhausted the last opportunity to provide guarantees of state security to the residents of the village of Kirants, Tavush region, and, consequently, to other settlements in the remaining regions where demarcation work will be carried out," the statement reads.
The initiative emphasizes that the RA government has squandered the military-political, military and diplomatic arsenal of the Armenian resistance and is trying to justify itself solely at the expense of the national-state interests of Armenia and the Armenian people with its incompetence, demoralized, deceitful and fake information flows.
"Tavush residents, therefore, a citizen of Armenia, have long been unprotected. The government has lost credibility with its political behavior due to its complete failure to fulfill its constitutional and moral obligations to ensure the lives of ordinary citizens.
We confirm that this entire process is illegal, contrary to the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Armenia, therefore it should be stopped," the Tavush for the Motherland movement said in a statement.
Residents of the border villages of Tavush have been holding protests on the Armenia-Georgia interstate road on the Kirants-Voskepar section since April 19. They oppose the border delimitation option agreed upon by Yerevan and Baku, as a result of which strategic heights will pass to Azerbaijan and Armenian villages will be completely or partially surrounded. Residents of Tavush have been spending the seventh night on the blocked Voskepar-Kirants road.
On April 19, the commissions for demarcation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed to begin demarcation of the border from the Tavush region. According to them, the description of these sections of the border line will be drawn up taking into account the clarification of the coordinates that will be obtained as a result of geodetic measurements on site. All this will be documented in the appropriate protocol description, which must be agreed upon and signed between the parties before May 15 of this year.
