Bagrat Srpazan calls for protests of disobedience across country tomorrow
ArmInfo. The head of the national anti-government movement, Archbishop of the Armenian Apostolic Church Bagrat Sprazan, called on the participants of today's rally on Republic Square to hold actions of disobedience tomorrow throughout the country, in Yerevan and 10 regions of the country.
Concluding the rally, Srbazan noted that the country's authorities,
represented by the "Civil Contract" party, have lost legitimacy
simply because none of its actions coincide with the principles and
documents enshrined in policy documents.
They wrote one thing in their policy documents, but do something
completely different. Citing several examples of this, including in
connection with the loss of Nagorno-Karabakh, Srbazan noted that the
government had completely lost the trust of the people, and the
government's rating had dropped to 7-8%.
However, according to the leader of the movement, it is necessary
that there be an alternative to what is happening in the country. He
called on "anti-government" diplomats to prepare an alternative
concept for the country's national security, and a corps of retired
officers to prepare an alternative program for the protection of the
sovereign territories of Armenia in the context of ensuring fair
principles of border delimitation and demarcation. The church servant
called on specialists working in government agencies to make their
professional contribution to the salvation of the Motherland, which
is fully consistent with the concept of reconciliation for the sake
of common goals.
Bagrat Srbazan called on those gathered not to stay in the square at
night, but to gather there on Sunday, the day after tomorrow, to
discuss together further actions. He himself is going to hold
consultations and conversations with various groups tomorrow.
