Flashback to the days of giant mainframes, big tape drives and teletypes -- and some less-than-completely reliable connections, according to a pilot fish on the scene.
"One day an error started spitting out, over and over, on the teletypewriter console: Memory Command Error," fish says.
"We flipped through the manuals to find the error. It turned out that the error sometimes occurred when there was a loose wire in the computer.
"This was a room-sized computer with literally millions of wires. The idea of looking for one loose wire in that big machine was ridiculous.
"It took us four days to find it.
