Koit Toome and Laura are pop royalty in Estonia and both are returning to the Eurovision Song Contest. Koit represented Estonia in the competition in 1998 whilst Laura participated as part of Suntribe when the contest was last held in Kyiv in 2005. Their song for 2017 is called Verona and is described as a modern take on Romeo and Juliet.

Anja will fly the Danish flag in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest after she won Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, the Danish national selection, with her song Where I Am. It was the second time that she had tried to enter the Eurovision Song Contest and now her dream is finally coming true. 

The ninth edition of Eurovision in Concert has taken place in the Dutch capital. A record 34 countries participated in the concert which was held at the Melkweg, in the heart of Amsterdam. Prior to the event participating artists were welcomed by the outgoing Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, Lilianne Ploumen, at a special press event near the city's famous Vondelpark.  

Dubbed Mr Voice, Jacques Houdek is one of the biggest pop stars in Croatia and a multi-award winning artist. His song for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest is My Friend, an entry that has got many in the Eurovision fan community talking as he duets with... himself!

Kristian Kostov will represent Bulgaria in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Beautiful Mess. At 17 years old he is the youngest participant in the competition this year but already has a wealth of experience. The song was written by the same team behind Bulgaria's entry last year, If Love Was A Crime, performed by Poli Genova, which secured the country's best ever placing in the contest.

Naviband are Artem Lukyanenko and Ksenia Zhuk and will represent Belarus in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Story of My Life. Naviband have been performing since 2013 and in 2014 they received their first award for the single Abdymi Mine at the National Music Awards in Belarus. Their song for the Eurovision Song Contest will be the first ever entry performed in Belarusian. 

The second edition of Israel Calling has taken place in Tel Aviv. Artists from 28 countries participated in the event which included an excursion to Jerusalem as well as the main concert last night. Israel’s most recent Eurovision Song Contest winner, Dana International, opened the show which took place in Tel Aviv’s Theatre Club.

2017 marks the first year when Spain will host a Eurovision pre-party. On Saturday 15th April more than 2000 fans and followers of the Eurovision Song Contest will gather at the venue, La Riviera, in Madrid. It is the first time that the country will host a Eurovision-related event in almost 50 years, since the Eurovision Song Contest took place in the Spanish capital back in 1969. 

Nathan Trent is a singer and songwriter who writes, composes and arranges his own music. He will represent Austria in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Running On Air.
