The Kremlin on Thursday denounced the seizure in France of a villa allegedly owned by Russian businessman Artur Ocheretny, the new partner of President Vladimir Putin's ex-wife. Indonesian rescuers raced to evacuate thousands of people Thursday after a volcano erupted five times, forcing authorities to close a nearby airport and issue a warning that the crater collapsing into the sea could cause a tsunami. Last August, Human Rights Watch released a report stating that Saudi border guards had killed hundreds of Ethiopian migrants attempting to cross the border illegally between March 2022 and June 2023.
