On Oct. 13, purple rain will once again fall in Minnesota, when the official tribute concert to late icon Prince takes place at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. The show, which was first announced in July by Prince's sister Tyka Nelson, will boast several high-profile acts, including Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, and Christina Aguilera. Fifteen acts were announced Friday, but more potential performers could be revealed in the coming weeks.

A 10-year-old South Caro­lina student was disciplined for wearing a tank top to school on a sweltering day and forced to put on a jacket, an NBC affiliate reports. The girl's mother, Alicia Rogers, said the principal particularly objected to the shirt's crisscross straps in the back. After years of promoting the theory, Trump blurted Friday that he believes Obama was in fact born in the United States — and if Trump is true to his word, that admission will cost him $5 million:

Donald Trump, a leading proponent of the falsehood that President Obama was born outside the U.S., admitted Friday that the president is in fact an American citizen. "President Barack Obama was born in the United States, period," Trump said.

Donald Trump might have his doubts, but President Obama is positive he knows his own place of birth.
