How Lottie Moss plans to turn her life around after substance abuse, flogging nudes on OnlyFans and ending up in rehab
IT takes a lot to steal the attention from the bride at a wedding – and even more so when that bride is supermodel Kate Moss.
Yet at just 13, Lottie Moss did exactly that, and a week later she was set on the same path to global fame and fortune as her older half-sister.
But in the 11 years since then, the pressure of being in Kate’s shadow has not been easy for Lottie — and this week she revealed she is in rehab for substance abuse.
In what looked to be a deliberately mis-spelled post to avoid TikTok censors, she wrote: “When everyone’s glamorising drooog taking but you’re literally in r3h4b.”
In a second post, Lottie mimed to a voiceover about wanting a cigarette, next to the caption: “The staff at r3h4b when I go outside for the 10000th time to $mok3.”
When she made her first public appearance at Kate’s 2011 wedding to rocker Jamie Hince the world fell in love with the angel-faced bridesmaid.
“It was so funny,” said Lottie. “My mum was like, ‘Your sister is going to be so p***ed. No one noticed her, everyone was like, ‘Who’s that?’”
Lottie was quickly snapped up by Storm Model Management, who had also scouted Kate at JFK Airport in New York when she was 14 — just a year older than Lottie.

She recalled: “I had a meeting with Storm the next week. They were like, ‘Where have you been hiding?’”
It was the opportunity of a lifetime — and with her connection to Kate, a top modelling agency behind her and her distinct beauty, Lottie should have had the world at her feet.
Substance abuse
But within a few years she would admit she had taken the wrong path, with bad friends, worse boyfriends and out-of-control partying.
So how did this promising starlet end up flogging naked pictures on OnlyFans and struggling with substance abuse?
It all started off so well. By 19 she had modelled for Chanel and Top-shop, landed her first Vogue magazine cover and travelled the world.
With the career came other opportunities — and Lottie was soon immersed in London’s party scene, mixing with the Made In Chelsea set and dating cast members Sam Prince and Alex Mytton.
Often spotted at the posh Chiltern Firehouse restaurant in London, she has rubbed shoulders with everyone from celebs to royalty.
She has even left Everton midfielder Dele Alli on read after he begged her for a date.
But behind the glitz and glamour, Lottie admits she has struggled living in her big sister’s shadow. She said: “It’s hard when your sister is Kate Moss and being compared to her.
“I had a great time modelling but everything was handed to me. I never felt like I worked for anything.”
Behind the scenes, Lottie admitted she had fallen in with the wrong crowd, which sparked mental health problems. In April 2020, just as the UK went into the first lockdown, she posted: “I have never been happier mentally, I’ve struggled a lot in the last few years with myself and anxiety and other things.”
She has also written: “My struggles have caused me to act out of character and ultimately I think I was becoming a person that I didn’t really like, which is why I numbed myself with substances and put myself down through neglect of my mental health and my general health.”
She added she had surrounded herself with “people who were a similar mental state” and that she realised that “was not helping”.
As the UK shut down in 2020, she escaped for two months to her big sister’s Oxfordshire mansion and hunkered down with her niece, Lila Grace, 19, for the pandemic.
We got drunk and shot naked and I felt very liberated doing it. I’m a very sexual person.
Now that Kate is teetotal, it’s easy to forget her wild partying days, or when she was dropped by fashion labels over drug allegations, or escorted off an EasyJet flight for being disruptive. But her life couldn’t be more wholesome now, and it briefly seemed like Lottie’s stay with her sister had done her good.
Three months later, in July 2020, she revealed she had been diagnosed with the behavioural condition ADHD — which was something of a relief.
Lottie said: “Knowing about it and being on the right medication has changed my life. There is a lot of anxiety, depression and substance abuse that comes with having ADHD, just as a result of not knowing you have it or being misdiagnosed.”
While Lottie seemed to have left her wild days behind her, as international travel restarted after the pandemic she was soon partying again in London and Los Angeles.
Then last year her burgeoning modelling career was left hanging by a thread after she signed up to X-rated subscription sites OnlyFans and Glow.
The move reportedly saw her dropped by her modelling agency, then rehired soon after.
A source said at the time: “Storm can’t let Lottie become another victim of this crazy influencer-meets-celebrity, image-obsessed culture. Her mental health needs to be protected.” Lottie has spoken about how her sultry pics let her distinguish herself from her high-fashion sister.
She said: “I wanted something of my own. So now I take naked pictures.”
In contrast to her supermodel sister’s famous “waif” figure, Lottie has admitted having a boob job.
She said: “With boobs, my mum always knew that I felt uncomfortable and so it was very easy to say that I was going to get them done.”
She claimed to have been making more than £70,000 a month with her sexy OnlyFans snaps — which could sell for as little as £3 a go.
But she revealed that shoots would involve alcohol with her new Los Angeles friends.
She said: “The modelling world is creepy, 30-year-old men taking pictures of 16-year-olds. OnlyFans is my friends taking pics of me, and I feel comfortable.
“I met someone who I clicked with in LA who did it. I hid my true personality in London.
“We’re so similar, people pleasers, and cover up social anxiety by being outgoing.
“We got drunk and shot naked and I felt very liberated doing it. I’m a very sexual person.”
She added: “I’m just taking fun pictures you’d send to your boyfriend. It’s fine, it’s harmless, it’s not hurting anyone. It’s so good.”
But this year Lottie’s OnlyFans career turned sour after a “friend” betrayed her by posting her naked pictures and phone number online.
She appeared online in tears and branded the friend “an evil person”.
On Tuesday, it was revealed she was selling fully nude pictures on OnlyFans at half price, for just £24, and saucy pics for free.
Just like her sister, who dated rock wildman Pete Doherty, Lottie has too often fallen for a bad boy.
She has admitted to a fling with rapper Machine Gun Kelly before he coupled up with Meghan Fox and last year went out with The Vamps drummer Tristan Evans.
In an Instagram Q&A in November she hinted that Tristan had used her for fame, saying: “Obviously I’d date somebody that wasn’t famous — unlike some people.”
In the same video, Lottie revealed her dating type was someone “gross”.
She said: “I feel my type has changed so much in the last few years — don’t look at my track record, but if you do, it is malnourished men with tattoos.
“Men with any type of drug problem or trauma — not my type any more — obviously apart from like a guy that I’ve dated, but musicians.”
Now she has been linked to facially tattooed US rapper Milkavelli, who keeps some worrying company. He stood up for his friend Ceon Broughton, who in 2017 filmed his girlfriend Louella Fletcher-Michie as she died from an overdose.
Lottie is also rumoured to be dating Valentino model Teddy Corsica, though she previously branded him “manipulative”. Last year she posted a snap of his Instagram page captioned: “It’s really sad when people betray you but this guy is actually a pathological liar and manipulator and needs to be stopped.
“He uses people for money and places to stay and only realised while speaking to his girlfriend that he’s been talking s**t to me.”
But last month it seemed Lottie had changed her mind, posting a pic of him feeding her a lollipop.
Even so, she has also told how she yearns for a slow-paced life.
In 2019 she said: “I’d really like to be that person who loves going home after a long, hard day to have a bath. But that’s just not me.”
If she needs help changing her ways she only needs to look to big sis Kate.
