Shame about CJ, he could have been the answer to the hooking role if he hadn't taken the time out or had come back stronger. I'd look to retain Martin and think TNW has signed again already, but the others can all leave with varying degrees of thanks. I wouldn't be surprised to see other players in contract also leaving too.

I'm a little nervous over this one, TH. There again I think I've been a bit nervous about them all so far.
I really don’t want this to come across negative but probably unavoidable….
Recent years Trinity have performed very well at academy and reserve level I believe.
I recall our academy was right up there in the playoffs only 2 years ago and then our reserves were losing finalists I think (we may have even won).
That wasn’t that long ago but I’ve caught most of the announced results for the reserves, academy and scholarship and have we lost every fixture so far? Albeit some close. Читать дальше...

The decision making of this guy on the rugby end of things in recent years has been absolutely appalling.
Circa 2 years ago he gallivanted off to Australia, proclaiming he was on some noble quest to make his biggest ever decision.
He came back with Rohan Smith (Said with Richard Keys’ name calling cadence and intonation. Football cliches, if you know, you know).
At the time, Smith had a record of 27 wins from 68 first grade games with Bradford and Norths, respectively.
Smith took over with Leeds second bottom. Читать дальше...
Brown might improve with better coaching around him but at the moment I'm not fussed with him leaving. Seems more of a penalty machine these days than anything else. Half the tackles he makes seem to coke dangerously close to crossing over into tip tackle territory.
Hasn't really got any better than what he was a few years ago, but I hope for his sake if he moves he does improve and goes on to be a good player.

Dale Ferguson has quit as Dewsbury coach and said he feels he can contribute more as a player instead of as a coach.
I suppose we will never know how much our game contributed to that decision but interesting none the less

With players in theory hitting the open market today, who would you be looking to retain?
I would assume some of these players already have deals in place just not announced by the club.....
Looks like Drinkwater is on his way and Russell is being courted by Wakefield, Gil Dudson will obviously not be renewed.
On the right deal I'd be happy to see Ratchford retained, still seems really fit and doesn't seem to be breaking down often as you see with some older players - good utility value I think? Читать дальше...

Recent comments in the Aussie media suggest McDermott's seen in a different light over there.
'Since the start of 2023, McDermott has been one of the assistant coaches at Newcastle Knights, earning a strong reputation down under, with Gould and rugby league great Andrew Johns the latest to sing his praises as he edges closer to a top job in Australia.'
Does this change anyone's views on his potential appointment here?
