An attorney for his family says Alfredo “Freddy” Flores died from his injuries Saturday night. Authorities say an Idaho sheriff’s deputy is dead after being shot by a driver during a traffic stop in Boise. A man believed to be the shooting suspect was later found and fatally shot by police early Sunday. The Ada County sheriff says Deputy Tobin Bolter was shot as he approached the driver’s window Saturday night and the suspect took off. A police officer shot the suspect after Boise police say he fired at police trying to get him to surrender. Authorities say he is a 65-year-old man who had a misdemeanor arrest warrant. Residents of four Serb-majority municipalities have overwhelmingly boycotted a vote on removing their ethnic Albanian mayors from office following last year’s mayoral elections. The referendum on Sunday was supported by the West. It was an attempt to diffuse tensions between Kosovo and neighboring Serbia as both countries vie to join the European Union. Authorities say more than a dozen people suffered minor injuries when a tram used for tours crashed into a railing at Universal Studios Hollywood near Los Angeles. Authorities say an 18-year-old woman died after she was shot on the campus of Delaware State University. Dover police say officers responded at 1:40 a.m. Sunday to a report of shots on the campus. A Wilmington woman who was not a registered student was found with a gunshot wound near a freshman dorm. She was rushed to a hospital and later pronounced dead. Andrew Davis, an acclaimed British conductor who was music director of the Lyric Opera of Chicago and orchestras on three continents, has died He was 80. Davis died Saturday at Rusk Institute in Chicago from leukemia. That is according to his manager, Jonathan Brill of Opus 3 Artists. Davis had been managing the disease for 1 1/2 to 2 years but it became acute shortly after his 80th birthday on Feb. 2. Authorities say a vehicle crashed into a Milwaukee County bus late Saturday, killing one person and injuring nine others. The crash happened just after 9:30 p.m. Saturday in Milwaukee when a car traveling south at West Wisconsin Avenue and North 35th Street crashed into a bus heading east. Medical marijuana can now be legally purchased in North Carolina with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians opening its long-planned dispensary this weekend on tribal land. Hundreds of people celebrated Saturday's historic opening of the Great Smoky Cannabis Co. in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
