Hovik Abrahamyan's withdrawal will not hinder strengthening of the Republican Party of Armenia at the upcoming elections, Deputy Speaker of Armenian parliament, member of RPA Board Eduard Sharmazanov expressed this  opinion to ArmInfo.  Hovik Abrahamyan, the Ex Prime Minister of Armenia and RPA Board  member, has confirmed the information about leaving RPA due to his  intension to be involved in politics more actively. Negotiations between Armenia and EU around new framework agreement are being held in constructive way and quite intensively in European point of view,  Head of EU Delegation to Armenia Piotr Switalski stated at today's  press conference.  According to him usually such kind of negotiations last much longer.  However, this is our point of view maybe by Armenian estimations the  situation is other. ArmInfo.. The Court of General Jurisdiction of Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeitun Administrative Districts of Yerevan has extended the term of arrest of "Sasna Tsrer" group member Pavel Manukyan by 2 months. Manukyan himself was not present  at the court session. To note, Pavel Manukyan is charged under the case of armed seizure of  Police Regiment by Sasna Tsrer group. He is accused of seizing  buildings and transport vehicles, illegal keeping, use and  dissemination of weapons.

The chances of the Yelk (way out) bloc to overcome the 7% threshold at the upcoming parliamentary elections are much higher than those of Seyran  Ohanyan`s bloc, Deputy Director of the Caucasus Institute Sergey  Minasyan has told ArmInfo.     "I think Yelk will overcome the minimum threshold to get seats in the  Parliament. ArmInfo.Philippe Boillat, Director General of Human Rights and Rule of Law, Council of Europe, during the meeting with Armenian Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan emphasized the importance of adopting new law on Human Rights Defense and  expressed readiness to further deepen cooperation. The press service of Ombudsman's Office informs that in this light an  agreement was reached to intensify implementation of joint programs  and initiate new programs for arrested people, in defense of rights  of servicemen and other issues.
