Bradford lost to fev today.
Still fancy them to beat us. We'll be sending out a young team and they'll have played Fax and Fev by the time next Sunday rolls round. I'm won't be going but I'm banking in Bradford uploading the full game on YouTube a day or 2 after

All this talk of goal kicking is least of our problems
Hopefully we're not kicking goals when we're 40 points down like alot of last 3 years
Big block of tickets just disappeared from N2, be fantastic if Penrith have organised a supporters trip

When Clifford lined up for a kick I was never confident. He would just toe poke it in the general direction of the sticks and hope his power took it over. I'm amazed he managed over 70%, it felt lower.

You’ve brought back memories of walking the perimeter of the new stadium every week to watch the build progress! It was an exciting time to be a Wire fan.
I expected / hoped the stadium would secure our future financially and allow us to challenge further up the table. Let’s not forget what the club was at the end of the Wilderspool era prior to the stadium getting approval. Undoubtedly my hopes have been realised, It convinced Simon Moran that we were stable enough for him to invest in us... Читать дальше...

Yes but equally the SMC wont find the approx 15 days of revenue we bring in if we left. The stadium is now old, theyve tried and failed with concerts and it isnt 1st choice for proms, weddings etc like it was when it opened. It would sit empty most weeks if only City played there.
Whilst it's hard to work out how Warrington will pan out this season (I'd guess at 5th-8th depending depending on Geeson's influence in attack), the real mystery is Leeds. This year they have absolutely no excuses with the signings they've made, it's the real measure of whether their persistence with Rohan Smith will pay off. He might prove me wrong, but I just don't get the hype over his methods. In their boxing day friendly he went back to the old 'short kick off technique' which didn't seem to pay off (yet again). Unfortunately there were car more pressing issues to fix with the squad so it was nigh on impossible to fix the prop issue in one off season.
I think TNW will be a breakthrough player this year

I remember Powell trying this stuff at Warrington. I was impressed though clearly they weren't.
I think Powell's style will work really well for us.

If my maths are correct it is nearly 20 years since our first game at the HJ. When I think about it that time has flown by when I realise that I have watched us at the HJ almost as long as at Wilderspool.
So what were fans hopes and expectations from the move to the HJ. And have those hopes been realized.
I wasn't born when we won the challenge cup in the 1970's so the heartache of growing up and getting beat by the mighty Wigan in semi finals and finals meant I was desperate to see a win at Wembley. Читать дальше...
I can't help but feel that as a club we fail to organise our support base to it's fullest financial potential. I know our pass, ticket and merchandise sales are up there but there must be at least 1000 more ardent / affluent supporters who would be prepared to pay into a share scheme (not necessarily for dividend but for love of the club)? Have we ever investigated this type of revenue stream?
