Superman & Lois' President Seinfeld Is The Perfect Bizarro Gag
Superman and Lois suggested that the Jerry Seinfeld of Bizarro World quit comedy to go into politics and was also Superman's best friend.

The revelation that Jerry Seinfeld is the President of the United States in the Bizarro World of Superman and Lois is a perfect tribute to one of the Man of Steel's biggest fans. The series recently sent the Earth-Prime version of Superman to an alternate Earth that was drastically different from his own. While Superman was more concerned with factors like this Earth's red sun draining his powers, a number of interesting little differences between the two Earths were revealed over the course of the episode "Bizarros in a Bizarro World," including the fact that a famous funny man was in the White House and reportedly a close personal friend of the Bizarro Superman.
This fun fact was revealed in one of a series of flashback sequences, which explored the history of Bizarro Superman and his family and how, in his world, it was his son Jonathan who first manifested superpowers rather than Jordan. Bizarro Superman took a firm hand in training his Super Son, but Jonathan grew to resent how his father only showed an interest in him as an extension of himself rather than as an individual. This culminated in a fight where Jonathan accused his father of neglecting their family in favor of taking "trips with President Seinfeld."
While this President Seinfeld is not identified by name, it is almost certainly a reference to Seinfeld star Jerry Seinfeld. The comedy legend is famed for his love of Superman and has worked several gags regarding the twisted logic of the Superman comics into his act over the years. For instance, one episode of Seinfeld featured Jerry and his friend George (Jason Alexander) arguing over whether or not Superman has a super sense of humor to go along with his other mentally enhanced senses and superpowers. This long-standing connection between Seinfeld and Superman makes the Bizarro gag a perfect Easter egg.
The connection between Superman and his famous fan goes beyond jokes in Seinfeld's work. The two co-starred in a series of short films advertising American Express in 2004, in which Seinfeld interacted with an animated Superman, voiced by Patrick Warburton. (Amusingly enough, Warburton also played the role of David Puddy on Seinfeld.) More recently, DC Comics paid tribute to the famous friendship and Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee series, with a variant cover of Batman/Superman: World's Finest #1 in which the other dynamic duo borrow the Batmobile and go for a ride, with Batman in tow and looking ill-pleased about his car's lack of a backseat.
Fans may well speculate as to how Bizarro Jerry Seinfeld left comedy to go into politics in the Bizarro World of Superman and Lois, but this is far from the first time a comedian has run for office in a fictional universe. The Late Show host Steven Colbert ran for President of the United States in the primary Earth-616 reality of Marvel Comics as a third-party candidate in 2008. Reportedly he won the popular vote, but lost the Electoral College vote to President Barack Obama.
