Azerbaijani grown apples sales prohibited in Armenia
ArmInfo. Azerbaijani grown apples sales are prohibited in Armenia.
According to the statement of Food Products Safety State Service,
during three days raids the employees of the Service have fetched out
the facts of Azerbaijani grown apples sales at Armenian markets.
Particularly, such a fact has been fixed at Malatia market in
Armenian capital, on Khorenatsi and Leningradyan streets. All the
shipment of Azerbaijani apples will be destroyed.
The Food Safety Service informs also that apples were shipped from
Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia and Italy. The cargo documents did
not state the availability of Azerbaijani product in the roster.
However, the cargo shipment has been supported with all the necessary
documents to be allowed for entrance to Armenian territory. Due to
the reason the cargo shipment with Azerbaijani apples has not passed
cross- border check, the Food Service cannot guarantee it's security.
The Service calls Armenian nationals to stay off buying Azerbaijani
apples, and to make calls on 010 206040 once any facts of those
sales are discovered.
