British Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn lost his no-confidence vote Tuesday, with 172 votes against him, 40 in support, and four abstentions. Shortly after the vote, the Labour Party released a statement accepting the motion that it "has no confidence in Jeremy Corbyn as Leader," adding to pressure for Corbyn to step down after last week's Brexit vote. NCAA basketball coach Pat Summitt didn't just lead her players to success on the court — she drove them to success in the classroom, too. The legendary basketball coach of the University of Tennessee Lady Vols, who died Tuesday at the age of 64, boasted a 100 percent graduation rate for all Lady Vols who finished out their NCAA eligibility at Tennessee, the school reports. Throughout Summitt's 38-year career, she coached 161 Lady Vols players.

One day after House Democrats released a report calling the Benghazi investigation a "partisan sham," Republicans on the House Benghazi Committee released a final report of their own with a very different conclusion. The report, made public Tuesday, cites failures by the Obama administration, including then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, to protect the U.S. diplomatic outpost in Libya ahead of the death of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans in the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attacks. Dow futures jumped by more than 1 percent early Tuesday as global stocks rebounded after two days of heavy losses blamed on Britain's vote to exit the EU. The Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 lost 2 percent early Monday before regaining some ground. On Friday, global equity markets lost $2.08 trillion in value in the biggest global stock sell-off ever. The previous record one-day loss of $1.9 trillion came on Sept. 29, 2008 shortly after the collapse of Lehman Brothers.

Rio de Janeiro's acting governor, Francisco Dornelles, is beginning to worry about the upcoming Olympic Games. With just six weeks to go until the opening ceremony, Dornelles told Brazilian newspaper O Globo that the state is still waiting on $860 million in funding from the federal government for additional security and transportation for the Games.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday struck down two Texas abortion regulations in the court's most significant abortion ruling in years. The regulations required doctors to obtain admitting privileges at a nearby hospital, and clinics to comply with standards for ambulatory surgical centers. The justices ruled 5-3 that the requirements were medically unnecessary, and were forcing clinics to close, creating unconstitutional obstacles for women seeking access to abortion. On Monday, British Prime Minister David Cameron told Parliament that the U.K. is in no hurry to invoke Article 50, triggering the process of withdrawing Britain from the European Union, while EU lawmakers and the leaders of Germany, Italy, and France said Britain should invoke Article 50 as soon as possible. Former Tennessee women's basketball coach Pat Summitt, who led the Lady Vols to eight national championships and amassed the winningest record in Division I college basketball, died Tuesday. She was 64. Summitt retired in 2012, after 38 years at Tennessee, after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. She ended her coaching career with an unprecedented 1,098-208 record, and in her 38 seasons, she never had a losing record; her Lady Vols made every NCAA Tournament and played in 18 Final Four matches. "I hate this country," soon-to-be former President Selina Meyer says in the season finale of Veep. She has just lost her last chance not at the Oval Office but at Oval Office adjacency. Her only option, now, is to be a regular person. The question this season — Veep's fifth — leaves us with is whether she is even capable of living such a life. Hillary Clinton is crushing Donald Trump. In the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll, she thumped Trump 51 percent to 39 percent among registered voters nationwide. That's an almost inconceivable 14-point swing in the Democrat's favor since May.

The Democratic Party has completed work on its 2016 platform, and though there may be a few changes before it gets ratified at their convention, the major provisions are clear. What's also clear is that this is the most progressive platform the party has ever produced. Many people have noted in recent years how far the Republican Party has moved to the right; it's clear that the Democratic Party is also moving to the left. On Monday's Full Frontal, Samantha Bee lit into Great Britain for voting to leave the European Union — or at least the parts of the U.K. that did vote to leave. "What were you thinking England and Wales?" she asked. "Screwing over the rest of the world by voting stupidly? That's our job." She sourly noted that anti-immigration fervor seemed to be the deciding factor for the Leave campaign, and saved some special scorn for leading Brexit advocate and "insufferable frog-faced wanker" Nigel Farage.
