Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers face off in NBA Finals tonight
The defending champion Golden State Warriors will meet the Cleveland Cavaliers Thursday for the first game of the NBA Finals. A rematch of the 2015 Finals, the best-of-seven series pits Oakland's seemingly unstoppable Steph Curry against Forest City's legendary LeBron James, making his sixth straight Finals appearance. The Cavs, however, are the heavy underdogs to Golden State, who wrapped up the regular season with a record 73 wins.
James is indisputably one of the greatest players ever, but his career Finals record is a meager 2-4, and in danger of falling to 2-5. For The Week, Anthony L. Fisher goes as far as to ask if James is the NBA's greatest loser.
The game begins in California at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
