A nurse at a California jail has been found not guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the 2019 death of an inmate who collapsed in her cell. Jurors on Friday acquitted Danalee Pascua in the death of 24-year-old Elisa Serna at the Las Colinas Detention Facility in the San Diego suburb of Santee. Prosecutors said Serna was suffering substance abuse withdrawals and had several seizures before her death. PepsiCo got a bump to fourth quarter profits thanks in part to lower charges and continued price hikes, but higher prices have hit sales. The food and drinks company said Friday that it expects organic revenue growth of at least 4% this year. That is less than half the 9.5% growth that PepsiCo booked in 2023. The company's stock dropped closed Friday down 3.6%, even as the company announced a 7% boost to its annual dividend, and said that it would buy back about $1 billion of its shares.

The doink cam is one of many innovations that CBS will use during Sunday’s NFL title game between Kansas City and San Francisco. A 15-year-old accused of shooting a Brazilian tourist in the leg Thursday night then firing at a police officer while fleeing through Times Square has been arrested just outside of New York City. Police say the teenager was taken into custody Friday at a residential house in Yonkers. Police say a security guard confronted the teen and two others who were shoplifting.
