If peacekeepers could agree on ceasefire, why couldn`t they agree  that there would be no attack on Nagorno-Karabakh? - Prime Minister 

ArmInfo.There is a lot of talk in the Russian media that Yerevan has been trying to shift responsibility for its failures onto Moscow for a long time, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on the evening of September 21 during a Facebook live broadcast.

"We do not shift responsibility for any failure onto anyone. There is a clear statement dated November 9, 2020, according to which the Lachin corridor, for example, should have been under the full control of the RPC, Russian peacekeeping forces should have controlled the safety of the civilian population. And 1.5 years ago we consistently began to raise the issue that processes were going along the wrong path. We bear our share of responsibility, however, on the other hand, I don't think that we all should not turn a blind eye to the failures of the Russian peacekeeping forces in Nagorno Karabakh," the prime minister said.

Pashinyan recalled that last year, representatives of the Russian peacekeeping forces one of the inhabitants of Markert and took him to the field, guaranteed his safety, told him that he could plow his field on a tractor, but an Azerbaijani sniper killed the tractor driver at that time, although the peacekeeper was sitting next to him.

"There were a lot of things that we didn't talk about, realizing that the situation was complicated... But two, three, ten incidents followed and this outbreak happened. Why did this latest outbreak happen? If the peacekeepers could agree on a ceasefire, why couldn't they agree before the attack that there would be no attack on Nagorno-Karabakh? In the end, everyone sounded the alarm about this, we also said that Nagorno-Karabakh is surrounded by Azerbaijani military equipment. Why then was this mediation not carried out? These are questions that need to be answered," said Nikol Pashinyan.
