An Associated Press review has found businessman and Trump-backed Ohio U.S. Senate candidate Bernie Moreno faced lawsuits alleging discrimination against employees before he sold his high-end Cleveland car dealership. Two of the suits accused Moreno and Bernie Moreno Cos. of gender and age discrimination, respectively. The third alleged race discrimination against a dealership run by a BMC subsidiary. Canada’s government is preparing for the possibility that Donald Trump could reach the White House again. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has told a Cabinet retreat that Trump “represents uncertainty." A magnitude 7.1 earthquake has struck a sparsely populated part of China’s western Xinjiang region, injuring six people and damaging or collapsing more than 120 homes in freezing cold weather. The quake rocked a mountainous county in Aksu prefecture shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday, and around 200 rescuers were dispatched to the epicenter. Riot Games, the developer of the popular “League of Legends” multiplayer battle game is joining other tech companies that have been cutting back with a layoff of 11% of its staff. CEO Dylan Jadeja said the move was meant to “create focus and move us toward a sustainable future.” He said 530 jobs were being eliminated. Officials say trade between Pakistan and Afghanistan has resumed after they reopened a key northwestern border crossing shut for more than 10 days. Truckers for years have been able to cross the border without documents, so they generally do not have them. But Pakistan began mandating truck drivers have visas last week. The director of the joint Chamber of Commerce said Tuesday the two sides agreed to reopen the Torkham border but Pakistan has set a deadline of March 31 for the truck drivers to get visas.

Nearly 30,000 professors, librarians, coaches and other workers in the California State University system have reached a tentative contract agreement and will end their planned strike against the nation's largest public university system. The deal was announced Monday night after the first day of the walkout and faculty members planned to return to work on Tuesday instead of continuing their planned weeklong walkout.
