Peskov: leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan express their readiness to finalize peace negotiations

Armenia and Azerbaijan, Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev, express
their willingness to complete the peace negotiations and reach a
joint peace agreement.
This was stated by spokesperson of the Russian President Dmitry
Peskov in an interview with Channel One Russia when asked "whether
it's risky to invite the leaders of warring countries to St.
Petersburg." In this regard, he noted that there is no risk.
an informal CIS summit is currently underway in St. Petersburg, in
which, with the exception of Armenia and Azerbaijan, the heads of the
following states are participating: Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan,
Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
This is the first meeting of Pashinyan and Aliyev after the
de-Armenization of Artsakh, which was preceded by a 9-month total
blockade of the state by Azerbaijan. As a result, over 100 thousand
Artsakhis were forcibly displaced to Armenia.
